Heading Into The New Year

Well I am officially back at it as we head into the New Year! I hope everyone had a great Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Yule Tide and everything else! I didn't get to relax much per say but it was a good change of pace and got me out of the office for a week. So if I haven't lost my skill too much not having drawn in about 5 days I will be tearing up the arts all week! 

First off want to say thank you very much for the great response to the Year End Sale, a great way to go out of 2013 and start fresh in 2014! 

I look forward to the coming months and what new evolution this lil' business called Eryck Webb Graphics will under go. I also look forward to September the official 5th year anniversary of EWG being in business since its launch in September 2009! Will have to do something special to commemorate that. 

Thank you thank you to all those who have supported EWG this year and pushed it into new levels of success and sustainability. My top goals going into 2014, as with any year, are to improve my art, improve my product, and to keep my regular clients as well as new ones happy with their purchases!

So when the ball drops, I will be celebrating going into the new year with my wife cancer free, my business doing well and nothing but potential for good things in 2014 and glad to have you with us.

Year End Sale - Going On Now

Chibi Orders Complete - Final EWG Thursday Stream of 2013 Recap

  

Whew! Time for bed. Happy to say all Chibi Monday orders are complete! And a WEEK before christmas baby! Hows that for a bag o apples! ...er... ya know what i mean. Thanks to all who came out enjoyed the holiday stream. Sorry for the 10-15 minute internet crap out between the 2nd video and the 4th video that led to the second part being two seperate fragments. But was a lot of fun. Christmas tunes, I think elsewhere in the house here a 'christmas scented' candle was burning. Went great. So had a lot of fun, thanks so much for everyones chibi orders. Very happy to have them all wrapped up for everyone! Hope folks enjoyed the stream. It was an epic one. Hadn't done a long one like this in a while! Can you believe its the last one of 2013! There will not be a stream next week. I'm taking a much needed week off around christmas. But got a day or two more to work till I can do that. For tonight, time for bed. CooP Zombie Battle - WIP Sketch

A fun two hero piece depicting two champions online characters looking forward to the fun of a zombie survival coop match. One of several pieces I will be finishing up today. The characters have been articulated most, and the zombies just fleshed out (pun sorta intended) and the placement of background elements. But will finish the zombies/ background completely in the inking stage rather then spending too much time penciling them. After all they are generic zombie background after all :) 

Anywho, its a zombie onslaught but the characters are to look happy and looking forward to the challenge as it is a game level. 

Both characters fly so made for the neat composition with the zombie looking up/ reaching up.

Christmas Elf Girl Warmup 12-17-13

Sky High Commissions and Cool Down Snowman

Did an impromptu Livestream session tonight featuring two character fan art commissions of Sky High characters Jetstream and Major payne. All owned by their respective owners and I think Disney or sompin! Was fun! My goal was to do both on a 'two at a time' canvas I use sometimes and keep it around 2 hours. I started around 815 finished about 1015 - not too shabby! Then the Deadmau5 music I had playing was pumpin pretty awesome and i wanted to cut loose and do a 'cool down' sketch of just something i really felt like drawing. I wanted to channel some CreatureBox and also do something snowman-related and I think this came out kinda cool. Seems like my 'trademark' to do black and white with gray tones and I generaly find the aesthetic of said style appearling. Anywho, came out with this awesome lil' ramblin snowman character. Got his scarf, his mittens and boots... nothin can stand in his way! Gave him some twigs for strands o hair and stuff n stuff. Fun! This piece and the two client orders shown finished below can be seen created in the livestream video at bottom of this post!

Thursday Livestream - Chibis: Recap

 

  

     Last night's stream was a lot of fun, filled with unique tunes and art after art work of chibi proportions. Had a great turnout to check out the four pieces, and except for a gap between the two halves of the Livestream recordings where i had to restart my computer, it all went real smooth. Came out to about an hour and 5 or 10 minutes per piece equivalent. That was my goal to keep each piece within/ at an hour start to finish. And that's what I did! They all came out great but I have to say my favs from these four are the Stegoboy sandbox and a tie between quintessence and Nico Minaru (might have that spelled wrong) from runaways ... maybe Nico for the motion/ action in general :) But quintessence looks like a classy cutie in her own right.
     The finished four pieces are for your viewing pleasure above and below are the two parts to last-night 4 hour stream. I might have Livestream figured out finally in recording short parts of a long event to keep it from not saving to server. Completely exiting from the pro-caster and reopening to start the new session helps a lot too! Well that's a after-thought/ recap on last-night's stream. To be honest I think I had too much lined up. Maybe 2 or three pieces would have been enough, because i had plenty of energy for all four but people started to tank out and head out around the third piece, and yeah I was dead tired after I was done around 1am here. I am seriously considering either only doing EWG Livestream sessions once a month or maybe just make the weeklys a lot shorter like, limit to two hours or something.
