Three Blind Mice - Sketch Dailies

#3BLINDMICE for #sketch_dailies 10 minute warmup this morning. Originaly tried to do it in 5 but had to darken it up/ go over it a bit more and so added another 5 min and then ended up with enough time to throw in some shade/ wording. Hehe - look at that. 5 extra minutes and now you have BACKSTORY. 

A good warmup, gets the mind criticaly thinking in a creative way, lets me draw loosely with no focus on perfectio nor exact design of the mice. Just something whimsicle and off the wall. 

Theese is a product o'  how my brain works here lol. Three blind mice equals automatic teenage mutant ninja turtles reference - apparently!

10 min, all photoshop w/ brush tool setup to look like pencil for the sketching and then as ink wash for the shading.

#sketch_dailies #ULTRAMAN warmup sketch this afternoon! For the facebook daily sketch jam club. This takes me back to some epic monster battles and theme music in SNES glory days. Was a cool fighting game with epic music where you battle enemies and build up energy to do your finishing move - was epic. 'DAAAADDDTT!'

TNC - Thrills and Chills every Friday

Getting in the TnC mood to get some new comic episodes done (Coming Soon!) Was listening to some thumping trance.... and soooo... this is what came out. Racing through the desert to the pace of trance music enemy helicopter in hot pursuit - speedlines o plenty - haha... no idea. Has nothing to do with the comic itself LOL. Just a 'realistic' interpretation of the main character 'Cory'.

EWG Selfie - Sketch Daily

Selfie is the theme of today's 'Sketch_Dailies' over on facebook. An art jam facebook group been meaning to participate in well this morning to get warmed up for a day of comic page and strip drawing I decided to join in. Low and behold the theme was to draw myself! A scary prospect! haha - so here i am, took a pic from my kindle and drew it with it sitting at my desk for reference and made a goofie face and drew what I saw! Raw man raw! I know many of you never see what I look like, so now you can see many of my cartoons/ characters and mascots are definitly based on me lol. Dewd, to Billy from Jumping boy to various other thingies. 

Well enjoy cause daz only pic o' me your gettin for a while! haha

Was fun challenge to draw myself from a point of view where i stand back and just draw myself like any other person. Felt like it wasn't me. Kinda wieerrrddd. And I'm sure a lot of artists try to be glamorous or idealize themselves, I drew what i saw in the picture LOL. Alrighty.

Sonic Vs Kiddo Finished Character Art

Just finished up this commission for a great client of his nephew racing sonic in his (i take it as) favorite game, Mario vs Sonic Olympics. Sportin his football gear hes got the win over sonic it looks like!

Tried some new techniques for the rendering of the shades/highlights, I kinda dig - and wanted to recreate the stadium from the game (or one of them anyways!). Fun stuff. ZOOM ZOOM!

I don't get enough sonic the hedgehog commissions :)

This is a full color over tight pencil sketch commission, two character and 'simple' background that i got carried away with :) All photoshop.

Thats it for Monday! Ooo theres a new Top Gear on tonight! Score!

Dr. Monster - Vday Special Character Art Commission

Finished Valentine Days sale commission for RDuke of 'DR MONSTER' his new champions online villain character. Think frankensteins monster if the monster was the evil genius! Praying on his new super hero guinea pig. Lots of fun and I def had an image in mind when creating this and happy it got pretty darn close to what I had in mind! Secondly just happy the lighting came out so well. That coulda gone south fast haha. But wouuld have not called it 'done' till it looked right of course.

Photoshop tight pencils with sketchiness left in for texture and then colored straight over the pencils. Lightning effects from some stock photos and photoshop effects. Also the texutre is from crackling paint on rusty wall from mayang textures.

BlueStar Batter Up - Finished Art

Finished full color over inks artwork of 'BlueStar'. 

Penciled fully in Photoshop then moved to Inkscape for inking with its DipPen tool and fililng in blacks. Brought back into photoshop to do the flat colors and shading and effects. 

Always enjoy working on BlueStar, thanks to TamTam for commissioning me to draw her!

Onto the next commission job! Will be working Live all afternoon - come check it out.

Got pencils lined up on a sonic hedgehog/ kid piece and a character art commission for an Eternals Inc member!

Shall be fun stuff.
