The Thursday Night Livestream event for Thursday, February 6th, 2014 - started 830pmEST and though I ambitiously planned for more, it took me all night to get these two done. One, I put more detail in them than I expected and two, was working a bit slow lastnight and also spent too much time 'cleaning' and 'perfecting' them. So, took a lot longer in my work flow than usual. But when I'm 'not in a groove' and 'working slower' I tend to take the time it takes to make up for that and make everything look right.
Admittedly I also had a blast with these two as I was designing them on my own from a simple request for each and had free reign on their designs. The first character is a scavenger/ technology harvester type. The second is a tribal queen type. Like Tina Turner in Beyond Thunderdome. Had lotta fun. One of my favorite things is the rifle staff with the trophy skull and gasmasks. Also the old 30s oldsmobile grill on her headdress and other hotrod-style grills on her shoulders Fun fun! Was a good night filled with classic rock and 80s hard rock fueling the creativity. A handful of the regular clients/fans I recognize and always enjoy having were out, as well as a couple new faces. And around midnight till the end there were 5 mystery viewers never logged in but were watching the whole time. Thanks to those folks for ocming out!
