Thursday Wrap Up: Chili Peppers and Art Surgeons

Thanks for a fun Thursday drawing and hanging with the crEW! Masterlist updated/ art sent! Here's a few highlights from todays requests! A Paul Revere chili pepper, a cowboy chili pepper, a manga style cake girl, and Hamiltoons operating on a Skyclops' character art with his ipad and apple pencil.

HairFighters: Nostrildamus

First to arrive to the HairFighters tournament of champions: 'Nostrildamus the Abstained'. He devoted himself to strengthening the body God gave him ( especially the superhuman nose hairs ) and to upholding and embodying his faith. Abstaining from any material human-entrapments or sinful passions. His brothers recognized his talent and strength and supported his entry into the International HairFighters tourney. What better platform to raise awareness of their God, spread the faith and promote support for their goodwill missions. Who dares contend with the righteousness of these holy nose hairs, on a mission from God?

'HairFighters' is a character design project created for fun and practice in my free time. Any similarity to people, places or existing creative properties is purely coincidental. The general premise I'm working from is that in this world, hair can be a unique and superhuman quality in different ways amongst select special individuals. What walks of life do these individuals originate? What occupations or life styles to they incorporate into their hair fighting styles. What hair on their body are they fighting with? Are they firefighters, monks, chefs, digital artists, gamers, mailmen, military? What country is each character from? The shape and design possibilities are only limited by my imagination and my interest in this concept.

Sometimes its fun to harness a theme like this and play with it in ones free time to practice/ play/ experiment till it runs out of inspired steam. Also the puns are fun.

Didn't quite get this batch of emotes done yesterday before I had to stop. So I got up a bit early this morning and knocked out the final touches and got them all saved out for use on their forever home channels! In this batch is thor-themed emotes for lord bumkin, a bunch of wolves flowers and dragons for cajundragon, racer character for nolan, a bottle of oil for slayer, and a coffee loving cat for itsmejenn!

These all started out as individual 5 minute concept sketches on my Drawing Request Stream over on my Twitch channel. Then they got upgraded to finished inked and colored emote commissions to bring them to life! They also make great stickers

Concept:

What if I took the Drawing Mill Discord 'Draw Jam' prompts foe this month and combined them? This is the guy who appered when I warmed up for the day, by combining a cooler with a 'hair fighter'.

Absurd, I know, but I kind of dig it.

Fun morning digital penciling on the deck on this samsung galaxy book 12 tablet in clipstudio. I suppose its time to get a snack and some water and get to the work that pays. Must be sure to enjoy this weather more on future days.

Starting the day by taking my time

Finishing some cawfee on the deck,

after watering and weeding the gardens,

after a nice walk around the block with KW and Chico,

after a good 6 month dr checkup,

and starting the work day on muh tablet pc and enjoying the weather till i have to go in and get to work on production.
