EWG New Operating Format

May 29, 2015

Its come to my attention that I've dropped the ball on a few projects. So I will be cranking up the output for the next month or so to catchup on deadlines I'm behind on. That being said, I am finishing off the short week continuing as originally intended, by whittling away at my list of character art and design commissions that have been sitting on the back burner way too long. Working today/ this evening to get as many done as I can. Possibly Saturday some as well.

By Monday I will have the schedule all squared away and have production headed in a direction to make not only the individuals with their character art happy, but the comic production folks as well. Have no fear, it shall get done, but comic projects because of their size and complexity, must be the priority. Single character orders and design orders will be done about one a day. So the format for after the weekend will be each day, sketch an approval sketch that needs started, send it off for approval. Then finish one that's already approved. In between those, I will be working on a different comic project each day.

For this reason, commission orders are now set to a 'case-by-case' basis. If its something that I think I can work in, and the client is willing to wait till the next available day, I will be happy to take it on. But during this heightened production period this will all be at my discretion. The best thing I can recommend is wait till space becomes available, at which time I will open however many slots I'm willing to take on at the time. Then once those are completed, I will open more if I have time.

This will be how EWG proceeds till we get a bit less of a work load.

Hope this makes sense, and thank you for your understanding! And ALWAYS thank you for your orders and support, couldn't keep this boat afloat with you.

Cool Down Sketches 5-21-15

May 22, 2015

Worked late this evening for about 3 hours finishing up some Transformers page inks. Afterwards I felt the need for some fun free-style sketching to cool down from the heavy duty page work. So this insued. Enjoyed having a couple folks in throwing out suggestions from the point of 'Pirate Hulk Hogan' on. Generaly started out playing with proportions and angles and ended with some funny stuff. My attention began trailing off towards the end and it was time for bed. Enjoy these sketches :) Comments welcome below!

New email address for EWG orders

May 14, 2015

To all clients regular and potential, the EWG email has changed - it is now eryck at eryckwebbgraphics dot com ! Inquiries and quotes can be discussed there from here on out! Yahoo and Gmail were just proving unreliable time and time again and the final straw was not being able to email any client on Yahoo without having it returned. So I've upgraded to a more professional account with eNom, the providers of my website hosting. I must say they are super simple and efficient to use and I had an issue (my fault) with setting up my email on my Thunderbird program and the support was friendly and phenomenal. They had it taken care of in about 15 minutes. Anywho, please make the necessary adjustments to your contact info! Look forward to receiving your emails here from now on! Well, back to production. I was | | this close to doing a 2 hour sketch night session tonight but know by the end of the day lately I am just exhausted. Perhaps I will hold a couple-hour Saturday session sometime in the future. But to be honest right now my plate is full, and thank you so much for that. I just have all the work I can handle right now and thats a good thing :)

Wally Warmup 5-7-15

May 7, 2015

This morning, spent about 15 minutes warming up on the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 and felt like drawing some studies of the Wally dog. My wife and I's little fluff ball. Also a character in my webcomic (still on hiatus) Run Of The Mill. The true operator of Eryck's from-home business. When that self employeed slacker is low in motivation, Wally cracks the whip! If hes not busy sleeping or chewing toys.

Warmup Sketches

This post features warmup sketches from the past couple days. They were primarily posted on EWG Facebook but wanted to include them on my website sketchbook. Primarily future warmup sketches and finished works will be posted to the EWG website first, then deviant art/ facebook after that.

Enjoy!
