Lastnight's Livestream consisted of two Slot Commissions due yesterday

Part 1 - 'Scavenger' Tech Harvesting surival type

Part 2 - 'RoadWarrior'-esque Post Apocalyptic Warrior Queen

The Thursday Night Livestream event for Thursday, February 6th, 2014 - started 830pmEST and though I ambitiously planned for more, it took me all night to get these two done. One, I put more detail in them than I expected and two, was working a bit slow lastnight and also spent too much time 'cleaning' and 'perfecting' them. So, took a lot longer in my work flow than usual. But when I'm 'not in a groove' and 'working slower' I tend to take the time it takes to make up for that and make everything look right. 

Admittedly I also had a blast with these two as I was designing them on my own from a simple request for each and had free reign on their designs. The first character is a scavenger/ technology harvester type. The second is a tribal queen type. Like Tina Turner in Beyond Thunderdome. Had lotta fun. One of my favorite things is the rifle staff with the trophy skull and gasmasks. Also the old 30s oldsmobile grill on her headdress and other hotrod-style grills on her shoulders Fun fun! Was a good night filled with classic rock and 80s hard rock fueling the creativity. A handful of the regular clients/fans I recognize and always enjoy having were out, as well as a couple new faces. And around midnight till the end there were 5 mystery viewers never logged in but were watching the whole time. Thanks to those folks for ocming out! Happy Friday

Good Morning! Its Friday - one more day to kick a little ass. This gun is for hire, and ready to roll! Got a short list of work I want to get done and OUT so I have a clear slate to work from next week. GIT ER DONE!

Weekly Slot vs Normal Order - Didja Know?

Didja Know There's a difference between Weekly Slot Commissions and Normal Commissions?

A weekly slot commission is setup with individual pricing. Meaning they are intended as one client per slot. It was decided shortly after starting the slot style commissions, that multiple characters purchased could be requested in one canvas together, but the client must pay full price for each slot whether the characters are in their own canvases or together in one. The time to render each figure has shown to be the exact same whether they are in one canvas or separate. The trade off for this, is you receive the work in one week from purchasing - and in almost all cases, the exact day you reserve.

In comparison, a normal price-list item, is a bit cheaper and has more options, but takes a little bit longer to get.  Normal character art commissions are setup with allowance of multiple elements in one order. Extra characters in Normal orders are cheaper in price than that of Slot orders, but the trade off is that Normal orders are subject a standard 3-4 week turnaround time. Normal Orders can also be upgraded to inks, full background, original design and other items. Slot commissions can not be upgraded. The time to complete multiple characters in a Normal order takes equally the time as that of a slot order, but upgrade prices have been lessened in allowance of the extra time to complete around other orders.

So depending on what a client wants, one is better suited for them than the other.

Also, one more difference is that while Weekly Slot orders offer the option of Normal or Chibi style art. The regular EWG price-list does not carry Chibis as a regular item. For the time being, Chibis are only available in special and slot commissions.

Now you know, and knowing is half the battle!

Fan Art/ Personal Work Fans Choice Poll is complete!

The order in which I will do my fan-arts will be in order of highest vote to lowest vote:

The other 4 items did not make the top 5 so will not worry about them at the moment.

These will be polished finished works that will showcase the best i can do on mainstream well known properties - and who knows might even offer the finished works as prints.

SuperBowl 48

Well... glad that's over. Halftime show was decent, but still not best. At least it wasn't Madonna or Janet Jackson ripping clothes off. Really enjoyed the energy and peppiness of it. Loved having Chili Peppers throwing down and jamming with Bruno Mars. But feel the half-time show wasn't as good as it would have been if the game leading up to it was a great game. There was no excitement/ energy going into the halftime.  The game and commercials sucked arse. But at least I can say I watched it...
